GRIP2 and BOUND2 are the first generation of tools built for parastronauts.

GRIP2 is a tool that extends the reach of a parastronaut when moving through the ISS. Connected to the body with adjustable velcro straps, GRIP2 can be used as an extra appendage but can also be fully removed to be used as a handheld tool. It can also be utilized on space walks, where bulky suits prevent agile movements.

While GRIP2 is designed for movement,
BOUND2 is designed for stability.

BOUND2 consists of a two-cord system that can be strung across the diameter of an ISS module. The astronaut can place themselves inside the channel created by the two cords to secure themselves in one place.
